Thanksgiving.

So I realize that not only will this be my second post in one day and then the only other post in like a week and a half but Thanksgiving isn't for another three days. I couldn't wait, and probably won't have time after this moment to be at a computer again until after Thanksgiving. I love the fall. The weather, the Holidays, and colors, the smells, everything.

I took these few images at my parents several weeks ago when the trees were still gorgeous.

I love the house where I grew up, which is why we are getting married there! Can you see why?

The three trees in front of the house look like this every fall. Its beautiful.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving. Remember the things that make you happy and even the ones that once made you sad. If it weren't for those things where you are would be different.
Love your family and tell them you do.
Pray to the Father who blessed you with one more day here.
Cherish each step you take and never forget the ones you took to get you to today.

Be thankful for your life and everything in it.

Prayers...

My heart is heavy today and today's post is devoted to cultivating your prayers.

This is a sweet couple that attend my church. I took their engagement pictures several months ago the day before their wedding. Several weeks after Dallas was called to duty by our United States Military to Germany. Tomorrow he will be deployed to Iraq. Rebecca, his bride, remains here in Alabama.
No matter your opinion of war, of why we are still fighting overseas, or of our current President, please remember our American brothers and sisters who are there fighting for you. Fighting and sacrificing so we can be safe and free. I want peace too, who doesn't? But as long as we are sending men and women to fight we should support them with our prayers and thoughts. So please join me this week, today, and especially tomorrow and remember them. Remember their families who are longing and waiting for them here. Remember Dallas and Rebecca.
Prayer is powerful. Its real and God is a good God. Talk to him, praise him, thank him, and call on him. He hears you. And Rebecca and Dallas, and many other families will feel your prayers.

It has been a week, I know. I am seriously in need of a vacation. Very soon, I might add. And to that, Thanksgiving is next week!! are you serious...where has this year gone? I have been all over the place this week, Chelsea, Mt. Laurel, Huntsville, Downtown....its been a crazy week. I haven't been in my office yet. Until the present moment that is. I am behind on everything. Late ordering Christmas cards, getting people their Baker Farms images, everything I tell you. I hope the Holidays will slow my life down!! HA. Yeah right. After they come, then its time to get down right busy and serious about this wedding thing! Showers!! Yay. And the house. Oh don't even ask about the house. I should take pictures and let you come to that conclusion on your own, but I'll spare you just yet. The real reason for this post is to show off one of our Engagement Photos!! My sweet friend Sarah from work hiked up to the Blue-hole and took them for us. This is the place where Cory proposed! They are fabulous. She emailed me this one to use for our Christmas Cards so I thought I would let you have a look. Thanks Sarah.
(To know more about Sarah go
here! Its a new blog so keep checking!! )

Let me know what you think!!

Today is also my sister's birthday, wish her a Happy Birthday and visit her over at The Family Fields! Happy Birthday Kristin!!

and the finale...

Finally I am finished with the Baker Farms Pumpkin Patch Sessions!!!
YAY.
Sorry to my sister who had to wait until last to have her images cleaned and edited. But they are done.(I am burning your disc Kristin, as we speak!) Here are my favorites from Ella's session which we did on Sunday of the Baker Farms weekend. She was so excited to be there and play. She jumped in the cotton with Cory and went on a hay ride. We had so much fun following her around all afternoon. I think these images are some of my favorite I have ever taken of her, even though in most of them she isn't looking at me. She is so stubborn and knows what I am doing with my camera, and she would rather get a spankin' than look at me and she just about did!

I hope you all love your photographs and enjoy them for a long, long time...but not too long Christmas is coming up!

Call me when you are ready for more!!

Enjoy.

A long day. That was yesterday! After a trip to the hospital and a little TLC I think he will live! Yeah so yesterday started out just fine. As always I drove to work and started my day. Cory hasn't been feeling well the last several days so he called in sick, well actually I called in sick for him but same difference. I won't go into details (due to request from the "soon to be") but we thought it could be several things, but then he started Monday feeling like it was the flu so we treated it as that and he stayed in bed the rest of the night and morning. I talked to him in the morning yesterday and he was still feeling very sick and weak, and in much pain (again no details)! I hadn't heard from him in a few hours so I called, no answer. I called again, no answer. About an hour later he calls from a car! I ask what he is doing up and Cory informs me that he has been to hospital!! The hospital!!! Why I ask...trying not to panic. He passed out cold from the pain when he tried to walk to kitchen for something and was taken to the hospital! Are you kidding me! No. Was I called...No. I could have killed him. So now I'm in a complete panic trying to figure out what happened, and if he is really ok, how soon can I finish at the office and make it home? Who knows who took him to hospital. Not his mother, and not me...which in itself concerns me!! And on top of that he says they had to operate! WHAT? Yes, so he was at the hospital being operated on (outpatient) but sill, and no one had my number to call.
OMG. I could have died, and I wanted to take him with me. Apparently there was a cyst or something and it was causing much, much pain which cause the flu-like symptoms which made him pass out.

So after rushing home to make sure all was ok, he was fine in the bed asleep and drugged up!! And not feeling much of anything!!
So needless to say, my day was a bit too eventful for me but all is well and I think he will survive!

Heavens, I need a vacation!

Hello all. This was a great weekend. Friday...I did nothing. Shopped for a bit, met Cory and relaxed, fed him dinner and sent him off to work, and I was in the bed by 9:15. Boring? Not in the least, I'll have you know that those nights I can go to bed at 9 are of God. Saturday morning I slept until I woke up, which was like 8:30 (I'm officially getting old) but then I spent the day doing nothing, absolutely nothing and it was great. We watched the game, Cory left for work, I had to continue watching the game in order to preform a recap for my working "soon to be", ate homemade chili with the folks and went to bed early again. What a weekend!! Sunday afternoon we met my sweet friend Sarah to take engagement photographs of Cory and myself. They are going to be so cute. We hiked to the place where Cory proposed! Too sweet. I can't wait to get them back. Ok so enough with the recap.

This morning was a good start to hopefully a great week. Sometimes on my way out in the mornings Ella is at the window at Heidi's, usually waiting for Gran not so much me, but recently she has busy playing with her Friends and not the least bit interested in waving at me from the window. This morning as I pulled through I slowed down as always just to see if she was there. At first she wasn't and started to pull off and then she appeared half naked, with bunny in hand, and sleepy hair going everywhere waving so hard I laughed. She just stood there waving, waving, waving. I of course waved back and she continued to wave! Blowing me kisses in between and smiling so big. She made my day, week even. Precious. I wish I had been early so I could stop and go in, but of course I was running late as always and didn't have the time to stop. But that sweet smiling face was the best way to start my day. I love you Ella.

More from Baker's. Enjoy.

I have a dilemma

Dilemma?? Yes dilemma. These are two fabrics that I have. But which to use where is the issue. One maybe in the living room and the other maybe in the Kitchen?? I dont know. I realize that I am not exact to the point of being ready to hang curtains yet...but the fact still remains I must make a decision and sooner to me is always better than later.

My kitchen is yellow with semi-pale green floors (you have to see to understand, its actually really cool) and brown cabinetry.
And the living room is cream with chocolate crown and shoe molding and hardwood floors! but the rug I bought is olive green, turquoise, and brown. So keep this in mind! and you have already seen our couch.
So, what to do what to do. I think it will be fabric 1 in the living room and fabric 2 in the kitchen but my mind could change by the afternoon, it is still early in the day!!

I'll post pictures of course of the final decision but that will be in the far of future...well hopefully not...!

two in one day..I'm on a roll!!

This is sweet Bella, and these are the first images I have been able work on from Baker's Farm. I am only posting a few because even her mother hasn't seen them yet...and I don't want to spoil the fun. So Enjoy.

Busy, busy weekend!! But then again, when are they not? Right!! It was however a good and restful Sunday so that makes up the rest of it.

Friday night we had our Fall Festival Trunk or Treat at FBC and Cory and I had a car to decorate for! So we got home early on Friday as always and Cory started carving our pumpkin!! I thought a big W would be really cute and he took it one step further and made this!! Pretty cute I must say. But then the outlining suggestion was made! So that the letters would stand out!
I thought it was pretty cute (more without the sharpie marks but oh well) !!

We worked on the house all day on Saturday. Which I of course loved and Cory dreaded. But it was a good day. We celebrated his mothers birthday with pizza and a German Chocolate cake that made Friday night after the festival! (forgot to take a picture of that) The house is coming along so well. We finished sanding the walls in the living room and now just have to clean it all up and we will be ready for painting in there. Then we are off to the spare bedroom for more sanding! Slowly but surely we are moving right along. Its a fun process seeing it all come together and actually being the ones who get to make all the decisions!! We are all grown up. and loving every minute of it.

I am still working on Baker Farm photographs hopefully those will be ready to post about soon. We can pray I suppose! I'm booked everyday this week for work shoots so I will have to squeeze in some time at nights for editing and posting!
