More from John and Lindsey's Wedding

This wedding was too lovely not to keep posting images from it. I am so close to being finished with all of them but these are more of my favorites! Enjoy.

I love weddings, photographing them and just being apart of them. All the details and light, the smiles and tears. There is love and joy and hope of the future floating in the air. What's better than breathing those in throughout the day? Nothing that I can think of!

Congratulations John and Lindsey!

Quick Snapshots

Hi Friends, I realize its been a while since I've posted. Life gets in the way of posting sometimes! Cory started classes this past week so its been an adjustment lately to say the least. But we have had a good weekend together. Today Cory and I had to take some quick snapshots for a grad school thing he needs in a few weeks. I have no idea what exactly they are for but just that he said he needed some photos...I think I might be able to help with that! We took a few minutes this afternoon to snap these:

I thought they looked really great and he insisted we take some full body shots too and this is why:

nice right...welcome to my world!

John & Lindsay

I just couldn't resist posting another image of John and Lindsay's Wedding from last weekend!
I can't wait to finish them. I am actually and surprisingly very close to the end. They are so good, I can't stop working on them...Cory is getting irritated, but he just doesn't understand right?!?
Let me know what you think. Its simple for sure and I love it.

Oh hump-day

I love Wednesdays. Mainly because if its Wednesday it isn't Monday and its almost Friday which means a half day of work and the weekend. However; some weekends only bring me more work. Like this past weekend for example. I had a lovely wedding to photograph at Chateau Toots. It was an all day event and needless to say my whole body hurts. Like I have been hit by a bus hurts, Cory laughs thinking I'm being over dramatic but its true doing a wedding all day is tough stuff. And my body is saying thank you for working me so hard this weekend, here is a little pay back. So here I am in pain. I even took a two hour soak in a hot, hot, very hot bath last night...and unlike public opinion..it does nothing.
But the wedding was lovely and simple and the lake side venue made it. Here is my favorite image so far of the bride getting ready.

The rest of my weekend was just as lovely. Friday afternoon I got off at noon, as always (if a shoot doesn't take over) and went home and cleaned my house. Some of my house that is. And then I laid around and did nothing until my sweet husband got in from work.
We met my sister and josh and another friend Beth and her husband Patrick for dinner and movie. It was a fun adult night with no babies. On Saturday, Cory got up early and left for a day of golf while I lay in bed happily asleep for several more hours and then I headed to the pool for the rest of the day. We had dinner at the Grille, out favorite in town spot and went to bed early. Oh I love my weekends. Full of Cory and nothing much else.
Enjoy the image above and the rest of your hump-day. You are officially one day closer to the weekend!

Surprise from mom

Several weeks ago my mom went to Tampa to visit an aunt. While she was there they went to what I've only heard was a killer thrift store. This was the sweet surprise she brought me back. I love it. It fits right in with my milk glass collection.

Thanks Mom. You're the best.

It's not K

So... I'm hijacking K's blog {see my name down there?} and she doesn't even know! What do you think about the new look? I've been practicing my html skills and I thought it was high-time for a little bloggy update. We've been redesigning her business cards and promo materials and I thought it was only proper to make the ole' website match. What do you think?

Oh, and how adorable are those chunky monkey legs up there? I want to eat them for breakfast. Seriously.

I was in the process of cleaning off my computer this morning and stumbled upon my bridal portraits that my sweet friend Sarah did. I love them so much I have to post my favorite just one more time.

oh..Saturday

This has been a fabulous weekend so far. Last night the husband was playing cards with the guys and I was home enjoying an evening all to myself. And oh I loved it. I worked on editing photo sessions from last weekend, cleaned, and did the laundry. And went to sleep in the middle of the bed!

Today however was ten times better. We slept late, really late like until 9:45, which we never do. After we had orange rolls for breakfast I realized I had a message from my aunt Heather who lives in the little house between my sisters and mine, her friend Tammy was having a yard sale down at the school and she had lots she thought I might I like! Well I of course I threw on some clothes and Cory and I walked down to see what was left. I got three great frames that I am going to paint and search for a perfect place for them to go, but the best thing from today my sweet husband bought for me. $20 got me this...

..awesome 1960's sewing machine, that still works.

It also came with these sweet patterns.

Now if I can only get my mom to sit down and teach me how to use it! I'm pumped about it, and it goes pretty perfectly in my spare bedroom which is slowly becoming my studio/sewing room now!

Thanks Tammy!
