We are so excited to share that my precious sister and brother-in-law are having a sweet Sophie Kae. I am honored beyond words to be her name sake. And now we have only a few short months before meeting her.

Long time no see! This Thanksgiving was a busy week for us! We visited two families, watched one heck of a football game, found the loveliest Christmas tree, hung crazy lights on our house, gave in on a new surprising tree topper from Hibbetts...
and had a photoshoot downtown with sweet cousins!

Wow...now I'm tired.
I hope you all had as busy and fabulous Holiday week as we did. Enjoy two of my favorites from today's urban, downtown senior portrait photoshoot with Kalli and Jessica.
You remember their summer senior portraits from this post!
Come back for more soon!

M. Carle
Look at Macklin's grumpy old man faces...! I love it. He was so sweet this day a few weeks ago. You should remember him from this post.
Amye and I met at Mount Laurel one cool Sunday afternoon several weeks ago to have a session of Macklin and sweet big brother Jackson. Amye pulled up and got Macklin out...and no Jackson! He had told her right as they were walking out the door that he didn't want to take pictures and she and Macklin could just go without him...so they did. And we had a lovely little hour long session roaming the town streets and letting Macklin do what he does best...look sweet (and little grumpy sometimes)!
Thanks Amye for letting me love on Macklin and document his precious little life. I can't wait to do Christmas pictures, I hope Jackson decides to come this time!

Engagement Session
I did the sweetest engagement session today. I was too excited not to come straight home, edit my favorites and post them.
Kyle, Autumn, and I met at Farm Links Golf course to spend the afternoon swooning the beauty and playing in the leaves...and there was a little photography in there too!
Enjoy these two photos and be watching for more.
And keep your eyes open for their wedding images in June!

Shelby
I can't wait to finish up the images from this shoot with the Johnsons
and their sweet dog Shelby.
and their sweet dog Shelby.
I met Ashleigh when I was in high school. She was the JV Cheerleader Coach and I was a Varsity Cheerleader at Vincent. We spent a lot of time helping the younger team that year and I got to know Ashleigh.
I haven't seen her in years but she works with my mom and knew through her that I did photography.
Ashleigh and I had been in cahoots about getting a date nailed down to do a session when she and her husband found out Shelby had cancer. Ashleigh contacted me and we made and emergency session on Sunday afternoon to make sure we got lots of new photos of Shelby with her family.
I had a lovely afternoon with this precious family and Shelby! Thanks Ashleigh for allowing me to be a part Shelby's life even for one afternoon. I am working hard to finish your session, I know you are anxious to see them.
ps. I'll be sure post more photos as I finish them.
**Update: I couldn't resist updating the post with this image below!

Fall Decor
I love being domestic. Can you tell? I had some extra time today, and since I am so SO ready for Christmas and Christmas decorations I decided I needed to take some sweet pictures of my decor.
This is our kitchen table. Cory hates it here. Every time he sits down to work on the computer he pushes all the way to one side!! Boys just don't understand do they?!
This is the mantel in the kitchen. There is a big, lovely pumpkin on the other side too!
I hope you have had as good of a time decorating your house as I have mine. Now its time to start on the Christmas stuff! be watching for those photos!
We are headed to the mountains for the weekend I'll post lots of images! Enjoy your weekend.

Week 16 Out-takes
If you haven't been reading very long and are wondering about these out-take posts, go here to my sisters blog for the full effect.
They are weekly progressions of Kristin's baby bump throughout the duration of her pregnancy!
Every Monday night we gather in my spare bedroom where I have set up an at-home studio and do a little mini photo-shoot. I edit our favorites and email then to Kristin where she writes her little ditty and posts it. Then once I have time ... I edit and post my favorite out-takes from our shoot!
We hope you are enjoying them as much as we are!

Happy Halloween!
Day: Friday night
Time: ?
Time: ?
Conversation: Me "What are we going to be for Halloween?"
Cory "I don't know"
Me "Well its tomorrow"
Cory "Do we have to dress up?"
Me "Yes!!"
This was the way our Friday night went. And since we are clearly procrastinators this is what we decided on...
Pretty good for the last minute right? We were Homecoming King and Queen!
Every year our church does Trunk or Treat for the community and since we are the children church leaders we are always a part of the event. Last year we didn't dress up at all, but what fun is Halloween without costumes? And the kiddos love it when the old folks are all dressed up too! It was hit! And I got one more wear out this bridesmaids dress! $200 and two times worn and now it will collect dust..probably until next year...maybe I'll be a Prom Queen! =)
My sister and her little family came for the festivities as well as my Mother-in-law and Cory's sister and babies! We loved getting to see everyone all dressed and on their best behavior for candy!

Ella loved my fancy dress and crown!
And Skylar and Brayden were a little too distracted by all the potential candy to hang around too long!
We also had time Friday night...in between our usual Friday dinner at the Grill...and the big decision on our costume choice to carve our pumpkin!
Cory did a fabulous job making it extra spooky!
